So i built a new pc, and ported my X-fi extreme music to the new rig. It worked great so why mess with greatness. Problem is ever since i put this thing together the sound isn't as loud as it once was. i have turn it up to 50 percent to get decent loud volume. It gets plenty loud at higher volumes. But i used to never have it ever past 65 or 70 percent without my ears hurting. I should point out i have a 200 watt altec lansing 5.1 system. So it was once loud as hell. Is this a Vista issue with the X-fi?? I've looked a tons of settings and nothing makes this issue go away. I also reinstalled the OS and still the problem is always there. Anyone have any idea's??

New motherboard is Asus Striker 2 Formula.

Have you downloaded the la-*test*-('") Vista drivers for the Creative X-Fi??

All drivers, either be it from Creative or anything else on the PC are upto date. Including Vista SP1
