I'm confused...from where does that rad get cool air and where does it's warm exhaust go?

Arlie- 09-29-2007
That particular unit has an integrated pump/rad/res/fan. See here: http://www.coolermaster.com/products/produ...bcate=1&id=2539

I don't know that I'd trust it with any more than a CPU, but I'll be interested to see the results.

CapnKirk- 09-29-2007
it's just for the cpu only.

sucks air from the front bay panels, two of them, they are mesh plates.

exhaust threw the bottom and out the case. (not sure where i'm venting it yet)

it's all in fun, so whatever.

if i have to put the damn rig in front of the AC to get high marks i will.

i have ice cube trays on order from walmart. tongue.gif

forgot which ram slots to use for dual channel

the 2 blue or the 2 white?

P5N32-E SLI PLUS

XPS is smokin' up BF2 and the graphics are much more textured,

crysis beta is buggy and locks up, but it's a sound driver glitch and still coded for dx9, final will be dx10

get it on fileplanet.

tabula rasa is in open beta there too now.

no word from dell yet on the box of parts i shipped back.

who cares, why are you reading this?
Merc? please stop molesting my XFX card damnit! it's just wrong! tongue.gif

CapnKirk- 09-30-2007
ahh ok, tnx, last setup the heatsink was too big to use the blue.

it takes like 3 fluxing days to setup vista, and if that dx10 on xp works, nothing bout shitsta i need.

dell has crap driver support for xp and no option to config a rig with vista 64 because it's a pile of goat crap.
so they give you 4 gigs, a quad cpu and a 32 bit OS which is a scam to plug vista 32

ah , lalalalalalalala happy happy joy joy!

anyway dx10 on xp still won't fix the games that need vista as an OS to run.

ya know, my fuccing ass hurts!

CapnKirk- 09-30-2007
this any good?
http://home.comcast.net/~seven333/Super_PI.JPG

paulzig- 09-30-2007
LOL.. not really...

CapnKirk- 09-30-2007
it was the highest -*test*-('"), so my ram is slow or vista just can't see all 4 gig?

Merc- 09-30-2007
SuperPi is about CPU and RAM speed but just as important is the OS load on those two items. You have to strip the OS down to the bare essentials to get high scores. Vista, will never beat XP asnd XP will never beat Linux. The lower the load the OS puts on the CPU and RAM the better your score.

When you get your tweaking rig done I'd have another array set up with just XP and the benches, nothing else, to benchmark on. Remember, that Dell is just for gaming, the real work will get done on your tweak rig. Leave the Dell ALONE!!! user posted image It is what it is and Vista is not a bench OS. Just play games on it and be happy....PLEASE wink.gif
