I informed the Pit that there has been a lot of problems posting scores for 3DMark01. It seems we aren't the only ones. The consensus opinion is that ORB may be pulling all support for that bench. The Pit is looking at it now and I will keep you informed.

3DMark01 will not be used as a benchmark in this years war. It seems that no one can post a score to the site any longer. I alerted The Pit too this before lunch after Still dealt with the problem last night while in the Tech Room and several people tried to post a score and got the 500 error. This has been going on for a week and the consensus opinion is that Futuremark has removed what little support they had going.

Ray will mod all the scores to date, Web Police is in the process of modding the calculator and data base and you boys don't have to worry about running that extra bench any longer.

Guys, make sure you get an inhouse score in this weekend. I need to give numb nuts the rosters on the 10th. AT this rate I may make the A Team so get to posting mates. Me making the A Team with the rigs we have would be a bad thing. Also, Please double check me as I am doing a lot of things and running a lot of numbers and mistakes are easy.

I hate to say it but I think that is the only way to go. Dial in a "reasonable" tweak and log it. Reasonable being whatever threshold the Pit calls for cheating. So your approach is good.

I posted at the Pit, before they were hacked, that as far as CM9 is concerned we are nearly out of reasons to even run the damn thing. Just post the "reasonable" score and move on.

Apparently some others are a bit more angry than us because last night at about 9PM EST the entire Forum Wars section got hacked. Several of us got gibberish PM's at the Pit with the subject line "Hacked" at the top.

This was probably in response to Rat letting two of his guys post second rigs well after the deadline, thereby breaking his own hard and fast rule of no more waivers. Note, these are SECOND rigs, not first time players that were out of town or something. I could see letting some guy that has been deploeyd overseas for the last 6 months enter late, but not a second rig for a guy that already has a powerful setup competing.

Allowing engineering sample Conroes, rule changes by the minute, insane behavior and apparent cheating, all by the host of the competition, has rendered what was going to be a fun little competition into a nightmare.

Rat has no learning curve. After the beating he took earlier, he goes right back and lets in two rigs, well after the deadline, that have no excuse ofr being late except they were waiting on parts, and they are second entries to boot. People haven't even had time to cood down from his last idiotic episode and he goes and makes another major blunder. Result - HACKED.
