Hi Merc,
The machine seems to be running Ok to this point. Been 3 or 4 hours now. Are you saying that I should re-set CMOS and BIOS even though it's running OK? If I need to do that I sure will, but am wondering if necessary since it seems squared away so far.

The 5200 x2 will transition to the wife's machine. She currently has a low end x2. Funny thing, I might have a clue on the proper procedure to swap processors now thanks to the many friends in this forum!!!!!

Let me know if I really need to reset CMOS and BIOS. Thanks very much.

No absolutely not. I must have missed a post. If the rig is running forget about it and enjoy. Resetting CMOS/BIOS is just a way to get a dead machine to post again.
