If i just choose "on" in the bios for each one they become a "usb or onboard cd rom device" in the boot menu

if i choose raid, they show up as each seperate drive.
and when booting they now show up as sata 2 and sata 3

in device manager they now say scsi device after the name.

there's no option to create an array of course, but was wondering if thats the way to do it.

but the bios does let you choose the raid option for them and i never had sata optical drives b4.

vista took a dump on itself and i have to re-install it on the deli

happened rright after the dell support utility made a urgent update.
