I have had my RAID0 setup running fine in Windows XP ever since I bought the second raptor, about 9 months ago. I installed Vista about 2 months ago and all was fine until about a fortnight ago.

I get occasional freezing and then an error message displays saying nvidia RAID error and lists the drives. It clears after a second or two.

I have ran W.D lifeguard to check out the drives and all reports fine. Is there some superior RAID -*test*-('") that will tell me once and for all if the array is fine or not? I'm kind of thinking that the drives are ok and its more down to Vista/nvidia drivers etc.

Cheers for any thoughts/hints etc. smile.gif

vista blows to install with raid, but halo 2 looks sweet in dx10
back to xp64 and google more multiboot guides...

if your gpu's don't support dx10, leave vista on the shelf...

The actual Vista install went sweet as the preverbial nut. No problems at all once Creative finally got their arse into gear and produced drivers for my card.

How can I -*test*-('") out the stability of my RAID array. Ive just had problems with POST for the first time so I cant just leave things. Think it was one long beep followed by three short ones. Could have been two long beeps but it was definately three short ones. Now where's the damn code list.

In case I go for a directx10 card as i'm no great games player SLi is overkill for me. I was amazed at the low cost of these though:-

I'm now thinking if my card is on the way out one of these £90 cards would be a good stop gap:-

Best advice I can give you is to download the newest chipset drivers from www.nvidia.com and install them. Make sure you download the Vista versions. Run that for a couple of days and see if that clears the problem.
