That DFI mobo has lots of problems, many DFI fanboys are even giving up.
Sent mine back with the ram and getting a refund.

Actually have a BlackBird on order, was supposed to be here days ago, but they are not to organized and I wasn't happy about it, so, you know me.

Still on order as far as I can tell, but the guy in charge isn't getting back to me because he fuced up.

Even the Tinker box with that 3dmark score gets barely 27 fps playing Crysis.

Can't believe games are out choking quad core sli rigs already.
Love that game. Gotta have a vista rig fully water cooled.

So I need someone to spec me out a rig as a backup 'cause may cancel the Bird.

It is amazing that 18K plus on 3D06 is not good enough to play Crysis. I'm sorry but that is bad coding, there is no reason on earrth that two 8800Ultras can't run a game, any game, above 70FPS.

I think Jason has a 1KW PC P&C for sale. Get that instead of the NZXT

I like the overclockability of the 45nm CPUs. $1400 is way too much but there should be other Penryn quads coming out soon I think.


790 Chipset should make its debut the first week of December. Personally I'd wait for that.

well it is the SP demo, i put 4 gigs of ram in and using the beta driver they said to use.

That's a pretty nice case. The demo pretty much matches the game performance wise from what I have read.

i have that psu running the tinker, to many sata power cables to deal with and i want modular cables, plus it's 1200.

this has to be done very soon due to a personal financial issue, so can't wait for new stuff and who knows what bugs the 790's will have.

btw, the striker extreme used in the hp bird can use either SLi or crossfire on the same board.

they did lots of tweaking with them and they all work.

Yep, that's what I would get. I think thay have ironed out the 680 problems as nuch as possible.
