I'm looking at a new system using the following components, I haven't decided on RAM yet but will have 4GB of it.
Do you have any advice on my choices? How well will these overclock and are they all reliable?
Also any advice on what RAM to pick to go with this?

Very nice parts which should make for a nice system.
This set of memory is tough to beat, especially for the price:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231145 i agree with the above, very nice goodies to play with... i'm kind of partial to the memory I have, yet everyone has their own opinions..
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820145197just keep in mind when running a 32bit OS you will not utilize all 4GB of memory. You'll see 3GB or just under.

which 8800 is that? There's only a few that have a gig and those don't always get the best rating and reviews. I'm not sure that they make enough use of the full gig and generally cost much more than their 512 counterparts.
Most times when you fill all 4 RAM slots you invite trouble... 2 gig of RAM is more than plenty on a 32bit OS if its of quality and high speed, this is just my opinion on the matter tho and others may not agree....
Never heard of that power supply, but specs look OK.. Never skimp on the PSU if you have high end components in the computer.. Aside from that it looks like a very nice rig..
Would go for 1066 RAM over the 1000 - in 2x2GB sticks so the corsair option is looking good

Plan is to dual boot with a 32 and 64 bit OS.
It is this graphics card:
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo...roductID=794150 If youre getting an 8800GT, get the 512 version, its cheaper than the 1GB and there is no difference in performance..
My main quandry now is Q6600 or Q9300 - 6600 for overclock but not sure if 9300 might be more potent?
Changed the rest a little:
Geforce 8800 512MB as recommended
2* 500GB Samsung HD502IJ Spinpoint F1, SATA II, 7200 rpm, 16MB Cache, 8.9
ms - going for two drives to give RAID potential
Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x2GB) Supplied with
Airflow Fan (TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF) as recommended
This isn't a bad deal on a Q9450 for $299. The new 45nm quads are sweet!
https://www.microcenter.com/single_product_...duct_id=0287628 I think Anders may be in the UK... So these special yank deals dont apply to him as they unfortunately do not apply to me LOL...
Yeah the UK - I cringe when I see how nice your prices are!
I'm in Australia... So not quite that nice... These guys taunt me with links to these 'special' deals all the time...
yeah, but you have better beer Paul
