Outstanding Dart and welcome to the team. If you look in the Forum Wars 2008 thread (Current Competitions) I have posted the official format for entering a score in the Preliminary scores thread. No rush as you have till the 14th to post stock scores. I'll PM you the password for the closed discussions thread.

Hi Dart -

After 3D01, 03, and 06 finish, there's a link to upload them to the futuremark site. So, you need to have a browser open when you start the benchmarks.

When they've uploaded, they'll be a link on the futuremark page to "publish" the result. After you do that, you will get a "compare" link.

For super pi, run the 1M -*test*-('") and take 1 screen shot of the result + running cpu-z., showing the "ok" box that displays when the result is finished.

For Geekbench, you submit your results and copy the results link to the post.

For all screenshots (except the fullscreen Aqua), you put your cursor over the date on the taskbar so the date pops up before taking the shot.

Here's a link to cpu-z, which displays your motherboard, cpu and the speed at which you are running the cpu: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/CPU-Z.shtml

Your results post has this format:

(Member,Forum & Team name)
(system Info)
E6600(CPU) @3400(speed)
7800gtx (VGA)
Dualcore (1,2 or 4 cores)
SLI (1 or 2 cards)
H2O (cooling)

3d03 (list your score)

I was ble to DL allthe programs except 3Dmark03 and 06. I tried multiple different site mirrors, but they are all corrupted, or won't finish a complete DL. Any other ideas?

Dart- 03-02-2008
I keep getting an error when I try to install 3DMark03 and 06:

CRC error: the file E:\Futuremark\3DMark03
3DMark03.dat doesn't match the file in setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact you software vendor.

Does this mean anything to anyone? I have tried both programs numerous times with no luck. Thanks.

Hi Dart -

Sometimes the install files get messed up. I just downloaded and reinstalled '06 from bjorn3d.com and it worked ok. It's the 6th site down on the page with the Futuremark download links.

Let us know if you still aren't able to get a good install.

My system has been freezing up on my from time to time. Do you guys think this is a Vista based problem or hardware?

grim22x7- 03-04-2008
freezes are generally software problems. Vista has been known to have issues with the sleep and hibernate functions. I think more information is needed to diagnose the cause of the freeze. but it is most likely a result of a software glitch rather than a hardware problem.

I have the la-*test*-('") drivers for my videocard. Should I revert back to a previous version?

paulzig- 03-05-2008
Does the screen go black and the sounds of the game continue in an endless loop?

It might not be a driver issue unless theres a conflict somewhere, especially the sound card drivers...

Is you RAM up to spec, voltage and timing wise??

Dart- 03-05-2008
I can't even get the computer to post today. Just a black screen. Weird. Never had this happen before.

vegasr- 03-05-2008
Have you tried to clear the CMOS to see if that will allow you to post and get back into the bios?

Any news?

Experiencing that here too -- won't come out of sleep mode half the time without a reboot.

paulzig- 03-06-2008
A mates laptop was running vista was on the bench in sleep mode, I put my beer down on the table (maybe a little too hard)... Instant BSOD... biggrin.gif

I bought a new stick of 1.9v ram. I installed it, and I have the same results. It won't post. Should I try to RMA the mobo at this point?
