the brightness and contrast ratio could be a little better. I think 400cd/m2 is average and the contrast seems low. I've been shopping for a 36" HDTV lately though so i think i might be a little off as far as standards for 22" monitors go.
Also beware of the warranty 3 years is probably plenty if you think you'll get a new one in that time (they might have 3D monitors coming out by then) but since it's an acer and not a dell it's probably a lot easier to get work done on it. When the back light on my dell burnt out (17 days after warranty expired i think) the part cost $80 and they wanted to charge me $400 (the price of the monitor) to get a repair that was only good for 30days. But that was a dell so like i said you can probably get a decent part and labor for it after warranty expires for hopefully a lot cheaper than a dell.
