I have the A8N-SLI Premium MB with nForce drivers and want to install a new nVidia graphics driver for my video card. When I look in Add or Remove list in Control Panel, I see NVIDIA Drivers and doesn't that include the chipset drivers as well? How should I uninstall my present nVidia video card driver and install the new one?
If I remember correctly, when you do the Add/Remove option in control panel, it will ask you which nVidia drivers you would like to uninstall. You can then just select the video drivers and leave the LAN and SMBus driver alone.
Again, I'm going from memory but I think that is how it works.

Thanks, but I will wait and hopefully someone here can give a definitive answer.
Rick is correct: you select Nvidia from the Add/Remove menu in the control panel. There will be a pop-up menu displaying installed Nvidia drivers. You want to select "Geforce" drivers to uninstall video drivers.
After you uninstall, remember to use the third-party application, "Drive Cleaner" (drivecleaner.net), to remove all registry entries before installing new VGA drivers.
Boot into Safe Mode, run Drive Cleaner, empty your Recycle Bin, reboot into your OS and perform fresh installation.

Is that an improved version of Driver Cleaner Pro? I read on another forum that the Pro version didn't remove all that was necessary. The recommendation was to use Guru3D (XDC) - Driver Sweeper:
http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=driversweeperI also read he is coming out with a new and improved version some time in the near future. Do you know if the Driver Cleaner you mentioned does the complete job?
Yes, it's always worked well for me. I use the licensed version. I've never tried Guru3D, but imagine that it's similar.
