Got ya -- misread that. I could, but then I wouldn't have all that pretty, shiny copper to look at would I? |
Ha - knew you had a good reason.

Marion, of course, understands too.

You know - a relief compared to a new set of golf clubs and all that.
I wouldn't go so far as to say she understands, but she's 3,000 miles away at the moment, so I have a head start outrunning the rolling pin.
I spent a few hours this evening first draining the contaminated PC Ice from the CPU loop (slight precipitate build up), then thoroughly flushing twice with distilled water, draining the distilled water, then filling loop with 16 oz of Fluid XP.
Fluid XP's formulation supposedly acts to remove foreign particulates from cooling systems. Whether this is a legitimate claim or hype, who knows. It seems a bit far fetched to me, but I'm hoping for the best. I'm letting the Fluid XP circulate overnight through the loop, then will drain and toss it; replace it with new Fluid XP and call it good. I think that should purge the loop of whatever sediment remains.
The reason for this song and dance is that particulate remained after draining PC Ice two weeks ago, even after replacing it with clear PC Ice (believing the dye was behind the problem).
Everything in my loop looks good so I topped it off and didn't replace. Only a few ounces needed after a year in the loop so that tells me my system is tight and there doesn't seem to be any particles or crap floating around. The micro res is clear and the fluid in there looks just like the stuff in my bottle so I'll leave it be for now.
Merc, what are you using for an additive?

The $4 a bottle Swiftech antifreeze additive stuff.
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2104/ex-...?tl=g30c103s458 Jason and I have been PMing back and forth about going nonconductive and what is better etc. I was thinking I should drain my loop and replace the fluid after a year of use but some of the old watercooling guys said if the fluid looks good and the loop is tight then don't bother.
I confirmed early this morning that EK shipped out one of the first X2 wblocks to me. I should have one of the first X2 waterblocks in the United States -- before their US distributor!! Woot! Of course, I still have to wait 10 days for it to arrive from Slovenia (it was either that or pay $78.00 for express shipping and I wasn't up for that lol).
You should be able to do some spanking with all this hardware

If you flew up and gave me a few lessons and ales. Yep.

I should do ok.

I've got four on tap and three Belgiums that need to be kegged. What do you need Jason

.
Working through my lagers for summer. Maibock, dopplebock and CAP (Classic American Pilsner) on the docket for the next twoo weeks.
Maybe I should ship out some "yeast" samples to the Warz team to get us in the right frame of mind. Hmmm.

I'll run it through my CPU loop and see if that gets the temps reading right.
If you had a leak, the board would get a buzz and not realize it's shorting out.
I'll happily pay for shipping if you're sending out samples.

Sounds like you're quite the brewmeister.
