I withdraw my earlier recommendation of Sony LCD monitors: they no longer manufacture LCD monitors and their warranty service seems to have disappeared along with the product line. A real shame, because the Sony Artisan line of monitors was hard to beat for graphics work. Only NEC (pro line) and Eizo come close, IMHO.
