Hey peeps, been a while. So let me tell you the story. I decied to take my A8N-E board and make a media center out of it with a 3200+ processor laying around here. I pulled the opty Den 165 out and stored it away. I got the bug again - no reason for that power performer to go to waste - and bought a new A8N SLI board. I just put it all together today and tweaking it little by little, letting the arctic ceramique cure.
But I noticed something thqat does not make much sense. The CPU and MB temps are reporting 35C. The room temp is 22C and the side of the case is open. I have the same swiftech monster on there.

I have the 1014 BIOS. Does it report temps correctly? WHat is the best BIOS for this board?
I know that this is not a 32 or deluxe board, but I couldn't get my hands on a new one. How is the history of OCing this board? I had the Opty up to 2.7Ghtz+ stable when I broke it down last year. Can't seem to get that high yet with this board and the ram is not OC'd.

Well, I spent most of the night and morning toying with this board, and it just doesn't seem to have the juice my A8N-E board had, so I will probably swap them.
The memory isn't OC'd (using 133) and I can't get over 280 FSB. Previously I was at 300*9 with the A8N-E. Ow well, I guess the SLI board will be good for my media center...I could also play games in the living room
