Lets do some math (because i'm a spoil sport sorry) wink.gif

350 for the MOBO + 500(2) for the processors + 200(2) for ram + 400(4) for the GPU's + 200 for cooling gives you a price tag of $3550 And since i'm pulling those numbers out of thin air (or where ever you want to say i pulled them from) factor in another 20% for error and you get $4260 On the plus side you get your very own space heater and a about half a million 3dmarks. Probably want to add in a plasma so that's another 4k and some popcorn for watching movies and you get eight-thousand-two-hundred-and-sixty-three dollars. ohmy.gif Did I mention the 500,000 3dmarks? biggrin.gif

Wants and needs...........

I don't want an E6600, but I need one!!!

Merc- 04-03-2007
April 22nd the E6700 will drop in price from $530 to $316, the E6600 will fall from $316 to $224, Intel will introduce a 2.13GHz 4MB cache E6420 at $183, and that will spell the end of the 2MB E6400 part, which falls in price from $224 to $183. Intel will also introduce a 1.86GHz, 1066MHz 4 E6320 at $163.

The 6420 looks like the best low end chip but the 6600 still seems to overclock slightly better. I'll definitely be getting a new CPU by early May, hopefully a used 6600.
