Now if this could come in at $299, then that would be cool.gif .

it's pretty. I've been told it'll run as well as a GTX and i'm inclined to believe that. It's also not just a shrink but an expansion of the GTS (whereas ATI just did the shrink) The ATI cards were released today apparently and have been recieveing reviews that are well bad for a card that is supposed to be a step up...there are actually things that the 38xx are worse at than their 29xx counters and being roughly equal at everything else makes them worthless. I'm gonna go ahead and call it...AMD/ATI has lost this round. Hopefully they come back in Q1 to go another round.

It's odd that the page is listed as a geforce9 but features no cards that are in the 9 series...

Here is a link to the new BFG 8800GTS 512mb. Wonder what prices we will be seeing.

hrmm the link doesn't appear to be working. the other earlier link appears to have a lot more information than the last time i checked it. seems like these new cards are well on the way but they aren't showing up on the google radar.

The english on that website is really really bad...just wretched. Hopefully the new GTS will be coming in at about $300. the cards that are 500 some dollars are rediculous. especially given the small difference in perfomance as of right now.

It's good to see that NV is also moving to the 55nm process in the 9 series. As they should in stead of all the stuff ATI did with their "new" series. ATI should have done so much with the 38 and they just didn't. Little disappointed with the memory drop on the GTS in the 65nm size. but 512 is still twice as much as what i have now.

Finally the 1g GT pretty impressive. not a fan of that silly looking fan on the top but i guess it works better.

PS nice find thanks for the quick and overwhelming response. biggrin.gif

Here is a pretty good review of the new GTS. 14k in 3Dmark06 from a factory oc card is nice.

I'd guess the price will be comparable to the current GTS.
