I'll reel of some runs of all the 3dmarks in due time, this is a run of with the e8400 and 3870x2 both at stock clocks:


3Dmark01: 56'180 pts

3dmark03: 63'765 pts...not bad for stock LOL

3dmark05: All stock= 20475 pts

3dmark06- All stock = 14422 pts

I did a quick run up to 4.5ghz to run Aquamark3 with stock GPU clocks....

AM3 264'704 pts

That card's almost as fast as the Mad Swede OC'ing it.

All stock clocks dude... except for Aquamark... bit of a trick to aquamark as cool_case and I found out in the TR today... We'll disclose that one in the closed forum tho, just in case of prying eyes lol..

These 3870x2's are magic cards, especially in 3dmark03... A good purchase

out of curiousity how did you pull off a lower score in '01 than '03? Is it beacuase of the CPU bench in '03?

ATI Drivers are optimised for running 3dmark03 at insane speed even at stock... It is however not optimised for 3dmark01, its an old benchmark and these cards dont play too well with it. 3dmark01 should improve significantly once I run the proper order and with some overclocking on both the CPU and the card.

I suppose that makes sense...
