the month by month data would certainly be interesting. I'd bet there would be a lot of adopters if they saw that the OS was improving, not because it was bad but because the driver support was being fixed and that it had been external problems in the beginning causing trouble. Generally, through the gaming forums I'm seeing more and more tech savvy people endorsing the OS. But there are still a lot of detractors, that haven't been using it, who say "vista is the devil! it will eat your children and pets too." Which is not helping the OS, as those are generally the louder ones.

Conversely my dad is not reccomending it to any of the staff where he works, and to the one secretary that requested it because she wanted to "keep up with technology" he said, " you probably wont be working here that long anyway." which is fairly accurate. In his defence he already has to manage a network with 3 other primary OS's (mac xp and linux) and adding a fourth or fifth OS (vista and the new mac OS) to a network of several thousand computers and 10's of thousands of users would make him a much less happy person.
